I have a CNC machine and I use this bit for cutting plywood. It works great and leaves a nice finish. I have used it for a few projects now and it is still sharp. I would recommend this bit to anyone.

I purchased this router bit for my CNC machine and it worked wonderfully. I purchased it without paying attention to the shank size, so I had to order a different collet in order to fit this bit into my router. So be sure you have a 3/8 collet for your router before ordering this bit. With that said, I used this bit for cutting some white oak for Christmas gifts and it cut beautifully. With this being a down-cut spiral bit, it cuts downward which prevents the top of the wood from being splintered and ripped away. When you cut with a down-cut bit you need to keep the wood chips cleared out of your work piece because it will pack up with wood chips as it cuts. This bit has an extremely sharp edge *fingers beware* , and cut very cleanly through my oak as well as some pine I cut. After cutting several projects with this bit, it is still sharp as new, I plan to use this bit for a long time.

I've used this for some 1/8 thick 6061 aluminum, some 1/4 deep dado cuts in oak (where an upcut bit should typically be used), and cutting some 1/2 oak plywood. The cuts in the aluminum and plywood were nice and clean. The initial pass creating the dado doesn't have a perfect floor (the bit was pushing chips down into the cut) but when it got to the second pass it smoothed out nicely (as there was room to kick the chips to the side). Not the fault of the bit at all and it still worked for my purposes. Highly recommend these bits.
